Day 01 Delhi to Rajaji National Park [227 km /05 Hrs approx.]
Start early morning drive to Rajaji National Park to reach there on time. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Evening time free to explore the surrounding. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 Rajaji National park (bird watching)
Morning embark on your exciting Jeep safari to spot the rich bird species of Rajaji National Park. Dense Alpine forest enhances the availability of diverse bird species thus, creates a fantastic opportunity for bird viewers to grab every activity performed by these species. Rajaji Park hosts more than 300 residents & Migratory birds. The major found species are Magpie, Thrushes, Flycatcher, woodpeckers, barbet, Hornbill, Parakeet, Vulture, Eagle, Heron, Egret & many the migrant birds like Ruddy Shelduck, Common Pochard, Gadwall, Mallard, etc.
Day 03 Rajaji –Chakrata [180 km /05 Hrs approx]
Start a drive to Chakrata via NH7, in the route you will get a chance to visit a famous wetland, Asan barrage at a distance of 101 km. Continue to drive further for 80 Kms to reach Chakrata. On arrival check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04 Chakrata
The entire region of Chakrata & adjoining areas i.e. Koti Kanasar-Deoban offers a good opportunity for bird watching. Start the early morning to trace birds of the area with the naturalist. Take a rest in the afternoon. At evening hit the famous trail of Kanasar-Deoban for bird watching. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 Chakrata –Devalsari [102km /0350Hrs approx.] via NH507
Early morning depart for Devalsari at 8 A.M. Afternoon take rest, at evening embark on a bird watching at nearby places.
Day 06 Devalsari- Nag Tibba Trek
Early morning proceeds for Nag Tibba trek with a naturalist, the entire region comes under Aglar Valley which boasts more than 200 bird species. Late evening returns back to Devalsari for an overnight stay. Day 07 Devalsari-Chopta [220km/0720 Hrs]via NH7
Leave early morning to reach Chopta on time. Chopta is an epitome of nature’s beauty & delight for bird watchers. The evening unwinds in the pristine surrounding of Chopta & gaze some of the colorful & beautiful bird species of Magpie, tit, laughing Thrush, etc.
Day 08 Chopta –Deoriatal- Tungnath
The morning starts the trek toward the Deoriatal & Tungnath temple. The region determines over 200 bird species. Retrace back to Chopta for an overnight stay. Day 09 Chopta –Chaukori [212km/0705Hrs approx.]
Morning departs for Chaukori via Karanprayag Gwaldom Bageshwar Almora Nainital road. By evening you will reach Chaukori, check-in & overnight stay there.
Day 10 Chaukori- Munsiyari [100km/ 0330Hrs approx.]
Early morning head toward the Kaphal hill, the best spot for bird watching in Chaukori. Later drive to Munsiyari. On arrival check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11 Munsiyari
Munsiyari is the habitat of more than 300 birds comprises of high altitude birds and some of the endangered ones also. Enjoy the birding in surrounding area Common found birds: Snow Partridge, Hill Partridge, Koklass pheasant, Spotted Laughing Thrush, Streaked Laughing Thrush, Little Pied Flycatcher, Long-Billed and Long-Tailed Thrushes, Mrs. Gould Sunbird, Green-tailed Sunbird, Bearded Vulture, Robin Accentor Golden eagles, Great Crested Tit, White-Throated Tit, Yellow Breasted Green Finch, Red-headed Bullfinch, Black Redstart & many more.
Day 12 Munsiyari-Binsar [185 Kms/0640 Hrs approx.]
Start the drive for Binsar in the morning. Birdlife International has categorized Binsar as an important birding area since it houses more than 500 bird species. Arrive Binsar by evening. Check-in & overnight stay.
Day 13 Binsar
Avail entire day to spot the magnificent bird species of Forktails, Woodpeckers, Pheasant, Partridges, Redstart, Flycatcher, Barbets, Laughing Thrush, Thrushes, Tree-creepers, warblers, finch, tit, Hornbill, Magpie, kingfishers, raptors &, etc.
Day 14 Binsar –Mukteshwar [80 Kms /0200 Hrs approx]
Spend some morning time for birding at Binsar. Later drive to Mukteshwar, the next halt place. Check-in for an overnight stay.
Day 15 Mukteshwar
Enjoy birding with a naturalist for an entire day in Mukteshwar. Significantly found birds in the region are Tit, Babblers, Warblers, pheasants, Magpies, Flycatchers, thrushes, woodpeckers, Partridges, wagtails, etc.
Day 16 Mukteshwar – Pangot [70 Kms /0200 Hrs approx]
Depart for Pangot in the morning. Pangot is best spot for birding with variety of bird species like Streaked Laughing thrush, Chestnut-headed Laughing thrush, Spotted–Laughing Thrush, Red-Headed Vulture, Lammergeyer, Rufous Bellied Niltava, Himalayan-Griffon, Rufous-breasted, and Black-throated Accentors, Black-headed Jay, Eurasian Jay, Tawny Fish Owl, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Oriental Turtle dove, Spotted Dove, Verditer Flycatcher, Little Pied Flycatcher, Himalayan Barbet, Great Barbet, Blue Throated Barbet, Chestnut Bellied Nuthatch, White-Tailed Nuthatch, Grey Crowned Prinia, Blue Winged Minla, Red-Billed Blue Magpie, Spotted & Slaty Backed Forktail, Long-Billed Thrushes, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Scaly-bellied Woodpecker, Himalayan Woodpecker, Rufous-throated Hill Partridge, Kalij Pheasant, Koklass Pheasant, Cheer-Pheasant, Plum Headed Parakeet & many more. Day 17: Pangot - Jim Corbett [195km/0550Hrs approx.]
Morning indulges in exploring birds of the Pangot. Later afternoon depart for Jim Corbett National Park. On arrival check-in & overnight stay at Jim Corbett.
Day 18 Jim Corbett
In the morning, you can opt for Jeep Safari to Dhikala, Bijrani Zone, and these 02 zones are best for bird watching. In the evening, explore the nearby or other marked areas i.e. Marchula, Mohaan Kumeria, Mongoli Valley, Ramganga River, Kosi Barrage & Sitabani to spot the birds. Jim Corbett National park is sprawled in 512 Sq Km with diverse geographical characteristics i.e. Dense moist deciduous forest, Alpine forest, rich riverine belts, marshy depressions, grasslands. This diversity helps the park upholds a variety of Fauna, flora species including avifauna species.
