The Kedarnath is located in Rudraprayag district, at an altitude of 3583 m & situated at shores of river

nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport, which is well connected with regular flights
from Delhi. From Rishikesh to Sonprayag you can either book private taxis or can
take any public transport/GMOU bus, which runs early morning from Rishikesh/Haridwar
to Sonprayag/Gaurikund. Gaurikund is the place from where the actual trek starts for
Kedarnath Dham. The trek is 16 km long which takes approx 5-8 hours depending on
your speed. To skip the trek you can also take heli service or can hire a pony,
palki from Gaurikund.
