If you are performing yatra by commercial/private vehicle, you have to get a Green Card/ Trip Chart Permit from the Transport department Uttarakhand.
The SOP put a cap of 1,000 pilgrims daily on Badrinath, 800 on Kedarnath, 600 on Gangotri, and 400 on Yamunotri.
Showing a document certifying the administration of both doses of the anti-COVID vaccine at least 15 days back will be compulsory. Or pilgrims can show a negative RT/PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT/RAT COVID test report not older than 72 hours.
Important Things to know before traveling to Chardham yatra:
It will be mandatory for the pilgrims coming from the sensitive states(Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra, etc.) to bring the corona-free test report 72 hours in advance.
Touching idols or bells will be prohibited in the temple.
Pilgrims will be able to attend worship with social distancing but they will not be allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
Pilgrims will not be allowed to take a bath in any of the springs around the temples.
Pilgrims have to follow covid protocols during the yatra(Proper Mask, Hand Sanitizer)
