About Itinerary

If you are a pro-level trekker and want to test your trekking skills, then Nanda Devi Base Camp Trek is perfect for you. Nanda Devi is the highest Himalayan peak in Uttarakhand and the second-highest Himalayan peak in India after Kanchenjunga. It is a 10-day long, strenuous trek that starts from Munsiyari town in Pithoragarh district. A visit to Nanda Devi Base Camp is full of diverse flora and fauna and gorgeous mountain scenery. Panchachuli peaks, Nanda Devi, Nanda Devi East, Milam, etc are mighty glacier peaks that offer excellent views during the trek. Nanda Devi Base Camp Trek in Uttarakhand is prominent among those who love exploration and are always ready to take the body to the next level. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Haldwani - Munsyari
Get ready for the journey from Haldwani to Munsiyari early in the morning. It is a long journey of 9-10 hours through beautiful lush green forest and vibrant towns. In the evening, you will reach Munisiyari, where you are accommodated in homestays/camps.
Day 2 Munsiyari - Babal dhar
Wake up to the melodies of chirping birds and the mesmerizing view of the glistening snow-capped peaks. And get ready for the first trek of this journey to Badal Dhar. On reaching Babal Dhar, tents will be arranged for overnight stay.
Day 3 Babal Dhar - Rilkot
After breakfast, continue your trek. In the evening you will reach Rilkot village and stay overnight there.
Day 4 Rilkot - Lawn
Wake up early with spectacular morning views. After breakfast, continue your trek along the Gori Ganga. Staying in a tent for the night.
Day 5 Lawn - Patta
Begin your trek to Patta. The trail is a gradual climb that offers excellent views of the snow-capped mountains Nanda Devi and other peaks!
Day 6 Patta - Base camp
Today is the toughest day of the journey, where you have to cover a 14-16 km trek. The route to the basecamp is a bit rough, rocky, muddy terrain, that has ascent & descent make it difficult for the trekkers. After reaching the base camp, enjoy the spectacular view of Nanda Devi Base Camp.
Day 7 Base camp - Martoli
After morning tea and breakfast, it is time to trek back. Start the trek towards Martoli which was an important ancient trade route. The view of Nanda Devi East and Nanda Kot is spectacular from Martola.
Day 8 Martoli - Bogdiyar
Get up early and leave the place and proceed towards Bodiyar (Bogdiyar). The total distance between Martoli and Bodgyar is approximately 15-16 km. Late in the evening, reach Bogdiyar and stay there overnight.
Day 9 Bogdiyar - Munsyari
This is the last day on the trek. After having breakfast, trek from Bodgyar to Munsiyari. Overnight stay in camps or houses in Munsiyari.
Day 10 Munsiyari - Haldwani drop
It's the last day of the journey to go back home. Say goodbye to your trek mates, and you will be dropped back to Haldwani. The trip ends with pleasant experiences and memories.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received 46 days (or more) of departure will incur a penalty of 10% per person.

Cancellations received within 45-31 days of departure will incur a penalty of 25% per person.

Cancellations received within 30 -15 days of departure will incur a penalty of 50% per person.

Cancellations received within 14 days of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person.

Unused services are non-refundable. No shows forfeit the entire payment.

Type of Camp

Dome Tents. Tents are pitched in a location which meets the basic requirements of a camping ground like source of water, safety from rock fall, flash floods, etc, good views to mention a few. Will provide you sleeping bags and mattress

Food

We provide nutritious and healthy food during the treks. We always serve Indian vegetarian food and eggs. Your breakfast could have an option of sandwiches or chapatis with a vegetable. We may have packed lunch on some of the longer days of the trek. Your hot meals will be a delicious mix of local vegetables, rice, chapatti. We try and incorporate a lot of fresh local produce into your meals. Your cook during the trip will also be a local. You could try and get a local secret recipe from the cook. We will provide you safe boiled drinking water throughout the trek.

Washroom Facility

The toilets will be a dry toilet where a pit will be dug and will contain a hump of mud outside. Don’t use wet tissue papers. After you finish your business, you need to cover the dump with the mud outside. A small shovel will be kept for the purpose. You should not use water in the toilet pit.

General Information

Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

Pay heed to the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.

Before undertaking the trek, consult a physician.

carry medical kit for headaches, cold, cough, stomach ache, etc. as you could need them during your trek.

This is a high-altitude challenging trek covering a distance of around 40 km, it is essential that you check your fitness level, skill and experience in trekking before undertaking the trek.

The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
