The Gangotri Temple was built by the Gurkha general Amar Singh Thapa in the early 18th century. The Ganges originates from Gaumakh which is accessible after a 19 Kms trek from Gangotri. Gangotri Dham is the second Dham of the Chardham yatra, after Yamunotri. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar- Uttarkashi (Drive- 190 Kms/07 Hr approx)
Early morning start drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival check-in at hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Uttarkashi - Gangotri (Drive - 100 Kms/04 hrs approx) Return- Gangotri Uttarkashi
In the morning after an early breakfast, drive towards Gangotri. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in the holy river Ganges, (also known as Bhagirathi). After offering prayers drive back to Uttarkashi. On arrival check-in at hotel for overnight stay.

During winters temple remain inaccessible due to heavy snowfall so the statue of Goddess Ganges is brought down to Mukhba, a small village in Harsil which lies on the way to the Gangotri Shrine.)
Day 3 Uttarkashi - Haridwar (Drive 190 Kms/07 hrs approx)
After breakfast drive to Haridwar. Enroute visit Rishikesh famous places l.e. Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and Triveni Ghat. On arrival, Haridwar trip ends here.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received 46 days (or more) of departure will incur a penalty of 10% per person.
Cancellations received within 45-31 days of departure will incur a penalty of 25% per person.
Cancellations received within 30 -15 days of departure will incur a penalty of 50% per person.
Cancellations received within 14 days of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person.
Unused services are non-refundable. No shows forfeit the entire payment.
