The history of Badrinath Temple is extremely ancient. Every year, devotees from far and wide undertake a pilgrimage to catch a glimpse of Lord Vishnu. Legend has it that centuries ago, Lord Vishnu performed intense penance under the Badri tree, accompanied by his wife, Goddess Lakshmi. Years later, in the 8th century, Adi Shankaracharya reminded people of the significance of this sacred site. Today, Badrinath Temple is part of the major Char Dham, Chhota Char Dham, and 108 Divya Deshams. This is why thousands of people visit here seeking salvation. And undertaking such a long, arduous spiritual journey undoubtedly brings transformation in one's life. (Badrinath Temple)
