Day 1
Dehradun- Haridwar (Drive 50 km/2 hrs approx.)
You will be provided assistance on arrival at Dehradun followed by drive to Haridwar. The Gateway to Lord Vishnu’, it is holiest city with high religious importance in Indian culture. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. After freshen up will visit the 02 highly revered Shaktipeeths Mansa Devi Temple & Chandi Devi Temple by Rope Way (if time allows). At evening will conclude city tour by attending the most celebrated ceremony to be part of – Ganga Arti at Har Ki Pauri, which held every morning & evening. Overnight stay at Haridwar.
Day 2
Haridwar – Gangotri (Drive – 280 Kms/9 hrs approx.)
Morning start drive towards Gangotri. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Later proceed for holy
darshan after taking a holy dip in the river Ganges & offer prayer to the Goddess Ganges, near to the temple spot the 02 revered places – Suryakund & Submerged Shivling. Evening attend Ganga Aarti, overnight stay at the Gangotri.
Day 3
Gangotri – Bhojwasa (Trek – 13 Kms/ 8 -9 hrs approx.)
Start early from Gangotri to reach Bhojwasa on time via Chirbasa. It is gradual uphill climb on well laid trail through the forest & terrains along with river flowing on one side. Night halt at Ashram/GMVN.
Day 4
Bhojwasa – Gaumukh (Trek – 4 Km & 2 hrs approx.) & trek back to Bhojwasa
Today will bit strenuous as you will encounter steep climb on rugged terrain along with some downhill rocky pathways. The trail goes on through the steep ascending surface and descending
rough trails. You will reach Gaumukh glacier in approx. 2 – 3 hrs. After spending some time return
back to Bhojwasa for overnight halt.
Day 5
Bhojwasa - Gangotri (Trek 6 – 7 hrs approx) Gangotri – Harsil (Drive – 30 Kms/01 hrs approx)
Early morning commence trek back to Gangotri. On arrival directly proceed for divine darshan of
Goddess Ganges. After darshan proceed drive to Harsil for overnight stay.
‘’The holy Gangotri temple is located at this sacred town. It is believed that at this place River Ganges descended on the earth after severe penance of King Bhagirathi. The Gangotri Temple was built by the Gurkha general Amar Singh Thapa in early 18th century. The Ganges originates from Gaumakh which is accessible after 19 Kms trek from Gangotri. During winters temple remain inaccessible due to heavy snowfall so statue of Goddess Ganges is brought down to Mukhba, a small village in Harsil which lies on the way to the Gangotri Shrine.’’
Day 6
Harsil – Rishikesh ( Drive- 260 Km/9 hr approx.)
Enjoy scrumptious breakfast at the hotel later explore the Harsil Valley. Later will head for Rishikesh. On arrival check-in at the hotel followed by wash and change. Later proceed for evening
Ganga Arti ceremony at Triveni Ghat/Pramarth Niketan. Night halt at Rishikesh.
Day 7
Rishikesh – Dehradun (Drive- 40 Km/1 hr approx.)
Morning proceed for half-day tour including Lakshman Jhula, Tera Manila temple, Swarga-Ashram,
Geeta Bhawan, Triveni Ghat, Ram Jhula. Later drop at Dehradun to connect for onward destination.
