Vishnu Prayag is situated in Chamoli district, approx 40 Kms ahead from Badrinath Temple. At Vishnuprayag, a union of Dhauliganga & Alaknanda takes place. At 1889, Maharani of Indore, Ahalyabhai built the temple at the confluence. The place is named after the Lord Vishnu, according to Legend, sage Narada mediated here to seek the blessing of Lord Vishnu.
